We count Kansas City CARE Clinic as an organization we proudly support. We’re very proud to call Kansas City home and are proud of our firm’s ongoing commitment to community service.
Perhaps you saw our previous blog post on our firm’s ongoing commitment to community service. Founder Andy Protzman has spent his entire life in the area. It comes as no surprise that he is passionate about paying it forward to others in the community. Protzman Law Firm is proud to be long-time financial supporter of our city’s Kansas City CARE Clinic. Specifically, we give to its annual Bloom Party fundraiser.
About Kansas City CARE Clinic
Since 1971, the clinic has provided basic health care services to people who cannot afford them. Those challenged to access of care are helped, too. The Clinic helps keep uninsured and underinsured Kansas Citians healthy. This is more important than ever given the uncertainty of the health care and insurance landscape. Many of the patients seen by the clinic are in between jobs (and insurance) or are simply unable to meet the financial gap that is often left before a deductible is met.
Kansas City CARE Clinic provides health care services in pediatrics, general medicine, HIV prevention and primary care, behavioral health, and dentistry. They accomplish this with a full-time staff of 115, plus an army of over 900 volunteers. Thousands of patients are served by three locations: 35th and Broadway, Research Medical Campus (near the intersection of Prospect Ave and 63rd Street), and on Independence Ave between Elmwood Ave and Van Brunt Blvd in Northeast Kansas City.
Join us in supporting this terrific uniquely Kansas City cause. If you come to Bloom Party on Sat., April 21– hope to see you there!
